When talking about stress, these skills are known as coping mechanisms. Lazarus and Folkman defined two major coping categories: 1 is the emotion-focused coping, refers to the regulation of emotions that are cause by the assessment process of others such as anger or sadness of losing someone, anxiety and fear when feeling threaten and eagerness and excitement, mixed with some worry when feeling challenges. 2 is the problem-focused coping, refers to the management of the problem itself.
